Member portal
What members see: profile, groups, volunteer slots, prayer, giving history. Staff configure it under Settings, not under /portal.
Settings → Member Portal is staff configuration. /portal is the member-facing app with its own session. Announcements for members are Member Portal → Announcements — not the staff announcement bar.

Switch the portal on and set what it shows
Open Member Portal and enable what members should see. Giving history is their own gifts only. Profile change requests come back to People → Change Requests for staff to accept.

Share the link
Copy the Sunday link on Member Portal and put it on a slide or WhatsApp. Members enter the email you already hold — no password. Send portal link on a person to email them a one-tap sign-in. Email everyone without a login broadcasts the same Sunday link, with a confirm step, and skips children and people who already have an account.

Announcements vs the staff bar
Member announcements are for the portal. Settings → Announcement Bar is the banner staff see inside Disciplo. They are different tables on purpose.
