Ministries is serving. Volunteer slots on events fill those teams. A ministry can require a background check — gaps show on Settings → Safeguarding and on the ministry.

Create the ministry
Open Ministries, add the team, and name a leader. If the role works with children, require a background check.

Fill the rota from events
Unfilled Sunday roles are volunteer slots on the event or service, claimed from the portal or assigned by staff.
