Create this week's service
Check-in, the kiosk and pickup codes all hang off a named gathering.
Gatherings → Services is the list of named services. There is nothing to tap at the door if Sunday does not exist as a service.

Add the service
Open Services and create this week's gathering — name, date, time, campus if you have more than one. Recurring services can be set so next week is not a blank form.

Open it on the day
Gatherings → Check-In Today is the one door at 9am. Services and events stay separate everywhere else; at the door you should not have to know which list a thing was filed under.
