Groups — where people belong
Small groups, Bible studies, care circles. Not ministries. A group has a leader on purpose.
Groups is a top-level section. Ministries is the next one. They are separate so “where I connect” and “where I serve” are not the same list.
01
Start a group
Open Groups and create one. Choose who can join: Open (instant), Ask to join (leader decides), or Invite only (hidden from the portal). A leader is recommended but not required while you are still planning.
02
Review join requests
When someone asks to join, the group’s leader and assistant get a notification. Approve or decline from Groups — open their profile first if you need to check who they are. They get a note either way.
03
Share a join link
On the group, enable Share join link and copy it. Guests fill a short form; members already signed into the portal join in one click. Open joins instantly, Ask to join still needs your approval, and Invite only works only with that link — rotate or turn it off to stop new joins.
04
Use it between Sundays
Members see open and ask-to-join groups in the member portal. Invite-only groups stay off that list unless they already belong. Attendance for a group meeting is taken from the group, not from the Sunday register.
